The last week of September is a jam-packed week of fun as we celebrate our annual Resident Appreciation Week. This year was a journey through the decades starting with the 1920’s. We celebrated the 1920’s with a Speakeasy Happy Hour and Roaring 20’s themed dinner.
Our next stop was the 1950’s which featured a Drive in Diner Luncheon and a Sock Hop Happy Hour with live music.
On Wednesday we rolled into the 1970’s and boogied down at the Disco Dancing Party.
Thursday was a big day with our Annual Staff Show and the theme was American Bandstand hosted by Dick Clark. Performances and special guest included Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, Elvie, The Supremes, Deam Martin, Aretha Franklin, Evil Knievel, Tina Turner, John Travolta, Jimmy Buffet, Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, Jane Fonda & Richard Simmons, Price, and Celine Dion.
We wrapped up the week celebrating the 1980’s with big hair, neon colors, and outrageous fun with a Totally 80’s Neon Dinner.
We are already planning for next year. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate and to all who helped make this week such a big success!
